Multiple food items recalled in Mississauga, Brampton and area

Mississauga and Brampton residents are encouraged to check their home for these food items after Health Canada released recalls relating to animal bones and milk allergies this week.

See below for further information on each individual recall.


Best Buy brand Chicken Tournedos with Bacon

Risk: Best Buy brand chicken tournedos with bacon are recalled due to the presence of pieces of bone in the product. Bone is not specified to be included in the product and poses a safety and choking hazard.

The recalled chicken tournedos with bacon are labeled with the following best before dates:

  • 2023-AL-25
  • 2023-AL-26
  • 2023-JN-06
  • 2023-JN-07
  • 2023-JN-09

Service Alimentaire Desco Incorporated is the company that owns Best Buy brand and they have triggered the recall. The chicken is sold in packaging size of 1.15 kilograms.

What you should do: Check to see if there are recalled products in the home. Do not consume anything that has been recalled. Especially do not serve, use, sell or distribute these products. Throw away anything that has been recalled or return it to the location where it was purchased.


Supherb Farms brand IQF Dill

Risk: Supherb Farms brand instant-quick-freeze dill is recalled due to Listeria monocytogenes in the product. Caldic Canada Incorporated owns Supherb Farms. There is concern for customers still having the product in their home because of the long shelf-life of IQF dill.

What you should do: Check to see if there are recalled products in the home. Do not consume anything that has been recalled. Especially do not serve, use, sell or distribute these products. Throw away anything that has been recalled or return it to the location where it was purchased.


Mastro San Daniele brand Charcuterie Trio – Prosciutto Cotto, Capocollo, Mortadella

Risk: Mastro San Daniele brand charcuterie trio including prosciutto cotto, capocollo, and mortadella is recalled due to the presence of undeclared milk in the product. The meat is sold in a package size of 250 g.

What you should do: Check to see if there are recalled products in the home. Do not consume anything that has been recalled, especially if allergic or sensitive to the product as it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

Do not serve, use, sell or distribute recalled products. Throw anything that has been recalled into the garbage or return it to the location where it was purchased.


Cache Cuisine brand Pro-licious Protein Pancake & Waffle Mix

Risk: Cache Cuisine brand Pro-licious protein pancake & waffle mix is recalled due to improperly undeclared milk in the product.

What you should do: Check to see if there are recalled products in the home. Do not consume anything that has been recalled, especially if allergic or sensitive to the product as it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

Do not serve, use, sell or distribute recalled products. Throw anything that has been recalled into the garbage or return it to the location where it was purchased.
