Multiple-alarm townhouse fire in Hamilton on the west Mountain

Firefighters in Hamilton are likely to spend much of Friday night knocking down and containing a blaze in a townhouse on the west Mountain.

That means motorists may face delays around Greendale Drive, where the fire broke out on Friday afternoon (May 6). Photos that the Hamilton Fire Department posted to social media showed flames and smoke pouring out of the residence. They said that nobody was inside the resident when the fire started.

“Crews will be on the scene for some time,” HFD said on Twitter.
