Motorcyclist hospitalized following collision with SUV: Hamilton Police

A motorcyclist has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a crash involving an SUV on the Hamilton mountain Monday night (July 12).

Hamilton Police said they were called at approximately 9:00 p.m. to the intersection of Upper Wellington Street and Mohawk Road to reports of a collision.

“There were two vehicles involved one SUV and the other a motorcycle,” wrote Hamilton Police Const. Indy Bharaj in an email to IntheHammer.

“The collision occurred within the intersection.”

The motorcyclist, a 47-year-old man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for hours overnight for the investigation and reopened shortly after 4 a.m. to traffic.

Hamilton Police are expected to provide an update on the motorcyclist’s condition later Tuesday morning.
