Motorcyclist dies after colliding with a car in Brampton

A crash involving a motorcycle and car happened this afternoon along a busy road in Brampton, which sent one man to the hospital with serious injuries.

Peel Regional Police say the accident took place shortly before 3 p.m., near Hurontario Street and Wanless Drive.

Following the crash, the driver of the car remained at the scene while the motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Thirty minutes after the incident, police confirmed the motorcyclist had died.

Authorities have not disclosed the victim’s identity, including his name, age, and place of residence.

The cause of the accident remains unclear.

Officials have blocked off the roadways impacted by the crash for further investigations and expect them to remain closed well into the evening.

Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes during this time.
