A motorcyclist died in a crash on an Ontario highway Sunday night.
Emergency crews responded to the collision involving an SUV and motorcycle on Highway 53, west of Burford, shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday, Ontario Provincial Police said. Burford is a small community west of Brantford.
The motorcycle rider, a 28-year-old man from Woodstock, was pronounced dead, police said.
Area roads were closed in Brant for several hours for the investigation, but have since reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. This was the second fatal motorcycle crash on Sunday in southern Ontario. A motorcyclist was found dead in a ditch near Tweed on Sunday.
