A man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a Chevrolet Malibu in Ajax Thursday afternoon.
Durham Police said a grey/silver Honda motorcycle was travelling southbound on Harwood Avenue approaching Kerrison Drive just before 4 p.m. when the car, travelling northbound, turned left into the path of the bike.
The 34-year-old motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Malibu remained on scene and is cooperating with police. There were no other injuries.
Members of the Durham Police Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene and the roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
