Motorcycle crash leaves 25-year-old man dead on Highway 407 in Oakville

A man has died following a motorcycle crash on Highway 407 in Oakville overnight.

Emergency crews responded to the motorcycle collision in the eastbound lanes of the highway at Trafalgar Road just before midnight on Thursday, the Ontario Provincial Police said.

A 25-year-old man from North York was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

All eastbound lanes of Highway 407 at Trafalgar Road and the Highway 407 eastbound on ramp were closed for investigation, but reopened at 6:45 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
