Mother’s Day is the day we celebrate all the loving and hardworking women who gave us life: our moms. We can all probably agree that one day just isn’t enough to honor our mothers, but it’s still a great reason to treat the great women in our lives to something special.

If you haven’t made your reservations yet, here’s a list of places that have crafted special Mother’s day menus and packages that are sure to make your mom feel like the luckiest lady alive.

Alioli Italian Restaurant

Alioli is located in central Mississauga and has been serving diners contemporary Italian cuisine since 1996. As of now, the restaurant is asking diners to call them at 905-281-1122 to book a Mother’s Day meal. 

Border MX Mexican Grill & Cantina

Treat your mom to authentic Mexican cuisine at Border MX! The menu offers traditional Mexican dishes, including fajitas, tamales, flautas and pork carnitas. To make the day extra special, there will be live Latin music. The celebrations will take place on May 13. 

Breakwater Restaurant at The Waterside Inn

You can get away from it all at The Waterside Inn on Mother’s Day! Take some time to enjoy spring along the Credit River, wander through Port Credit’s shops and along the boardwalk. And then enjoy a fancier brunch in Mississauga or an evening meal in the chic yet casual atmosphere of Mississaga’s award-winning Breakwater Restaurant. 

All the traditional brunch and dinner offerings are accentuated by a charcuterie and seafood table; interactive chef stations and carvery; and of course you can always finish with selections from the Waterside Inn Sweet Table!

Michael’s Back Door

Michael’s Back Door is a beautiful restaurant well known to locals. It is located at the back of a building in Clarkson off of Lakeshore Rd. and is truly a hidden gem since it is completely hidden from public view. As you park in the back alley, you will find a glass solarium protruding from the back. It’s almost like you are walking into a secret location. Michael’s Back Door has been serving Italian fare since 1981 and is a great choice for Mother’s Day, as it’s offering a three-course lunch ($39.95) and a four-course dinner ($44.95).  

The Wilcox Gastropub

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a special Mother’s Day brunch at The Wilcox. 

Executive chef Humberto Sanchez is the creative talent behind the menu who happened to also be a contestant on Chopped Canada. The Wilcox Gastropub is located on the corner of Hurontario and Eglinton and is situated in the Wilcox House – one of Mississauga’s oldest  Heritage Homes which features Greek and Gothic detailing and was built by Amos and Charles Wilcox in 1850.
