While recent data shows Ontario homes selling under $500,000 may be a thing of the past, last month saw a handful of Brampton properties move well below the $1 million mark.

Numbers from a Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) report last month revealed that homes within the price range of $500,000 are in short supply across the province, with less than 5 per cent of listings in Brampton coming in under $500,000.

And while Brampton’s priciest homes sold for closer to $2 million last month, real estate website Zoocasa.com says there were still some affordable units that traded hands in the condo market that could qualify as a starter home and one that came in under $500,000.
