Morning bomb threat shuts down Hamilton high school

Hamilton police are investigating a bomb threat at a local high school Monday morning.
The threat was made toward Glendale Secondary School near King St. East and Nash Rd.
Officers have been working to clear the building.
Police notified the public through social media at 8:08 a.m.
“Hamilton Police are investigating a bomb threat at Glendale Secondary School,” the Twitter post reads. “Police are working to clear the building at this time. Thank you for your patience as we work through this.”

Update: Just after 9 a.m. on Monday, the Hamilton Police Service tweeted that the school had been cleared, and students and staff could enter.
“Thank you to members of the public for their patience. Glendale Secondary School has been cleared,” the tweet stated.
