More than 4,000 St. Catharines homes without power

A large-scale power outage in St. Catharines left 4,306 homes and businesses without power Wednesday morning.
Alectra Utilities is reporting the outage in Glendale and Glenridge Ave. area.
The outage began at around 3:30 a.m.
As of 7:30 a.m., Alectra had not provided a cause for the outage nor an estimated restoration time.
