More than 15 units respond to rope rescue at Tews Falls in Flamborough

More than 15 units from the Hamilton Fire Department were sent to a single rope rescue today (Aug 28) after a woman slipped and fell at Tews Falls Conservation Area in Flamborough.

Hamilton Fire first reported the rope rescue at 1:24 p.m. in the area of Ofield Rd. South and Fallsview Rd. East.

Reports say a woman in her 20s lost footing while hiking and fell.

In this area, there is access to the Glen Ferguson Side Trail that connects to the Tews Falls Lookout Trail, and also to Dundas Peak.

After several updates, a total of 16 units were called to the rope rescue by 1:40 p.m., that’s six additional units being called after the initial report.
