More than $13,000 in cash and drugs seized in drug bust by Caledon and Dufferin police

Cocaine, fentanyl, Xanax and more drugs have been seized and a 26-year-old has been charged after a raid by police in Caledon and Dufferin.

The OPP says that officers from the Caledon and Dufferin Community Street Crime Units searched a home in Orangeville on Thursday (Oct. 19).

During the raid, police say officers found fentanyl, oxycodone and Xanax pills, hydromorphone and cocaine. Police also seized scales, drug paraphernalia, two cell phones and $13,000 in Canadian currency.

The OPP has charged a 26-year-old from Orangeville with multiple offences including two counts of possession of a schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine.

Police have not released the identity of the accused.
