Widespread WestJet outage adds to chaos at Pearson Airport in Mississauga

Travellers looking to get away on vacation to Mexico now have more flights from which to choose at Pearson Airport in Mississauga.

WestJet, Canada’s second-largest carrier, has resumed weekly flights to Merida, Mexico.

Back in August, the Calgary-based airline announced the return of 17 sunny destination routes available to travellers at airports across the country, including two routes out of Pearson.

WestJet resumed weekly flights from Pearson to Cayo Coco in Cuba on Nov. 5 and as of Dec. 17 is once again making weekly flights to Samana, Dominican Republic.

Also, ultra-low-cost carrier Swoop Airlines has restarted weekly Pearson to Puerto Vallarta flights and will increase that schedule to twice weekly starting in January.
