If you like to sweat, you’re in for a treat.

It looks like this gloriously, fabulously hot weather is going to stick around for a few more days.

According to Environment Canada, heat warnings will remain in effect for Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, Burlington, Milton, Oakville and Halton Hills. Temperatures are expected to sit in the low 30s today with humidex values near 40 (according to The Weather Network, it’ll feel like 42 degrees at certain points during the day).

The overnight low is a very mild 21 degrees, so you might want to hit up a late night patio if you can swing it.

And while the weather should stay warm, Environment Canada says temperatures are expected fall below heat warning criteria by Tuesday as a trough moves into Southern Ontario.

Although heat is wonderful (especially after this disappointing spring), it can pose health risks if proper precautions aren’t taken. The weather agency says residents should watch for symptoms of heat-related illnesses, such as swelling, rashes, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the aggravation of other health conditions.

Residents are advised to drink plenty of water and seek out tree-shaded areas, swimming pools and air-conditioned buildings.

People are also reminded to never leave children or pets inside parked vehicles.

Enjoy the heat!
