More appointments to get Moderna doses open up in Brampton, Mississauga and Waterdown

More appointments to receive a Moderna vaccine have opened up in the Peel and Hamilton areas.
Two Wal-Mart stores in Mississauga have appointments available this weekend, Vaccine Hunters Canada reports. The Heartland location (800 Matheson Blvd. W.) has eight slots on Saturday, while the Meadowvale store (3155 Argentia Rd.) has six available on Sunday. Those eligibility for those doses are first doses for residents aged 18 and up, and second doses for people aged 80 and over.
In Brampton, the FreshCo at 3998 Cottrelle Blvd. is scheduling appointments for Friday and Saturday. Anyone age 12 and over can receive their first dose, and second dose eligibility is available to people age 80 and over, Indigenous people and high-risk healthcare workers.
Meantime, the Wal-Mart at 90 Dundas St. E. in Waterdown has a total of 46 appointments for the Moderna vaccine available from Friday through Sunday. As is the case in Mississauga, those can be first doses for anyone age 18 and up, and second doses for those age 80 and over.

Anyone arriving for an appointment should bring either their Ontario health card or government-issued identification, and should not come to an appointment if they have been experiencing any COVID-19-like symptoms.
