Mississauga residents who attend any of the city’s Canada Day celebrations this Friday will get a helping hand from MiWay getting to and from the parties.

Mississauga’s public transit provider will operate its buses on a holiday schedule on July 1, which includes providing additional late-evening service to riders.

The following routes will provide extra late-night service for passengers:

  • 2 Hurontario
  • 3 Bloor
  • 7 Airport
  • 10 Bristol-Britannia
  • 23 Lakeshore
  • 26 Burnhamthorpe
  • 34 Credit Valley
  • 61 Mavis

Some service will also be reduced on Canada Day, officials note. The following routes will not run on Friday due to reduced customer demand:

  • 28 Confederation
  • 35 Eglinton-Ninth Line
  • 46 Tenth Line-Osprey
  • 48 Erin Mills

For more information, visit MiWay’s website.

Canada Day events and fireworks are planned at various locations across Mississauga.

The celebrations mark a return to in-person Canada Day events after a two-year absence due to COVID-19.
