MiWay adds extra bus service for Mississauga Canada Day celebrations

Mississauga residents who attend any of the city’s Canada Day celebrations this Friday will get a helping hand from MiWay getting to and from the parties.
Mississauga’s public transit provider will operate its buses on a holiday schedule on July 1, which includes providing additional late-evening service to riders.
The following routes will provide extra late-night service for passengers:
- 2 Hurontario
- 3 Bloor
- 7 Airport
- 10 Bristol-Britannia
- 23 Lakeshore
- 26 Burnhamthorpe
- 34 Credit Valley
- 61 Mavis
Some service will also be reduced on Canada Day, officials note. The following routes will not run on Friday due to reduced customer demand:
- 28 Confederation
- 35 Eglinton-Ninth Line
- 46 Tenth Line-Osprey
- 48 Erin Mills

Canada Day events and fireworks are planned at various locations across Mississauga.
The celebrations mark a return to in-person Canada Day events after a two-year absence due to COVID-19.
