Mississauga’s R.J Barrett Is Top Pick In NBA Draft For The Knicks

R.J Barrett was one of the top picks at the 2019 NBA Draft.
Barrett , who was born in Mississauga, was the most recent player to be taken with a lottery pick. The New York Knicks selected Barrett as their third pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

After a one-year stint with the Duke Blue Devils, Barrett has become the newest addition to the New York Knicks team. At just 19-years-old, he averages 21.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists a game.
During his time with the Duke Blue Devils, he played shooting the guard and small forward.
He was also ranked first by numerous basketball organizations such as ESPN, Rivals.com, Scout.com and the 2018 24/7 Sports composite list. He has also been honoured as a McDonald’s All-American.
Barrett was one of four Canadians to be selected in the first round.
