Mississauga’s Pearson Airport has been ranked as the third best airport in North America and the 38th in the world, according to an international air transport rating organization.

Skytrax, the U.K.-based consulting company that compiled the information, says the rankings are based on customer satisfaction surveys.

According to the results, Vancouver has the best airport in North American followed Houston George Bush Airport.

Pearson’s world ranking of 38th is an improvement from the year before when it was ranked 42nd.

Hamad International Airport in Qatar is ranked the best in the world.

One area where Pearson did come out on top is in cleanliness.

The rankings indicated that Pearson is the cleanest airport in North America based on the surveys.

When it comes to airport staff, Pearson slips and comes in sixth place in North America when judged by staff attitude, friendliness and efficiency. Both Montreal and Vancouver finished ahead of Pearson in this category. No North American airports were ranked high on this list.
