Lovers of everything chicken in Oakville and Milton will have one more tasty option to try soon.

ChickQueen franchise has plans to expand to 11 new locations in southern Ontario, including Oakville and Milton.

The international halal chicken chain, which opened its first Canadian location in Mississauga last year, now plans to open locations in Toronto, Etobicoke, Brampton, Scarborough, Markham, Richmond Hill, Kitchener and Ajax as well as Milton and Oakville.

Established in 2000 in Dubai, United Emirates, ChickQueen has more than 200 locations and expanded across 23 countries including Australia, New Zealand, India, United Kingdom and Ireland.

The chain, which says it uses real Canadian chicken and 100 per cent chicken breast, is known for its famous chicken and tandoori flavors that celebrate the chain’s middle eastern roots.

Popular items include the popular Royal Crunchy and Tandoori sandwich and wraps.

The chicken chain says it will have over 300 locations internationally by 2025.

“More growth and more innovation for sure,” ChickQueen master franchisee Amir Waheed said of what the next five years will bring.

ChickQueen’s Mississauga location at 5130 Dixie Rd. is celebrating its one-year anniversary this weekend with a special offer.

On Saturday (July 16), ChickQueen will sell two pieces of its bone-in chicken with Tandoori fries for only $3.99.
