People who attended wedding events at a gurudwara in Mississauga last Sunday should get tested for COVID-19 immediately after a possible exposure.

Peel Public Health says the advisory applies to anyone who attended wedding events at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Malton (7280 Airport Rd., Mississauga) between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 3. Individuals who not not fully vaccinated must self-isolate until they receive a negative test result.

Fully vaccinated individuals who do not have any symptoms do not need to isolate. They are, however, advised to continue to follow precautions such as masking, physical distancing and limiting contacts until they receive their test results.

Anyone seeking testing because of the exposure should give testers the following outbreak number: 2253-2021-48380.

Testing locations may be found by Googling “COVID testing near me” with location services enabled.

Information on how to self-isolate can be found at peelregion.ca/coronavirus/self-isolation.

Failure to comply with self-isolation can result in fines under a standing Section 22 Class Order. A Section 22 order is imposed on a business to help increase cooperation with COVID-19 requirements.
