Guests who were exposed to COVID-19 at a recent wedding event in Mississauga should get tested as soon as possible, regardless of vaccination status.

Peel Public Health issued an advisory on Monday (Nov. 8) regarding a wedding event on Oct. 29 at Apollo Convention Centre (6591 Innovator Dr., L5T 2V8 postal code). The advisory applies to all guests.

Everyone seeking testing because of the exposure should give testers the following outbreak number: 2253-2021-49820.

Testing locations can be found by Googling “COVID testing near me” with location services enabled.

Individuals who are not fully vaccinated should isolate while waiting for test results; those who refuse testing must self-isolate for 20 days.

Fully vaccinated individuals, who do not have any symptoms, do not need to isolate while waiting for their test results. They should continue to follow precautions such as masking, physical distancing and limiting contacts while waiting for test results.

Failure to comply with self-isolation can result in fines under the Section 22 class order, Peel Public Health says.
