Mississauga Transit to offer free rides for veterans on Remembrance Day

To honour Canadian soldiers and veterans, Mississauga Transit will be offering free rides for veterans on Remembrance Day.

On Friday, Nov. 11, MiWay will be providing free rides to Canadian Forces veterans along with their companions.

The City of Mississauga recommends that veterans wear items including uniforms and medals or carry items that identify them to transit operators.

All transit operators will also be stopping their buses for two minutes of silence at 11:00 a.m. on Nov. 11 as a mark of respect to Canadian veterans.
