Mississauga teen charged with driving 230 km/h on Hwy. 403 near Hamilton

An 18-year-old Mississauga resident has been charged with stunt driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and other offences after police tracked a car travelling at more than double the speed limit on Hwy. 403 southwest of Hamilton.

Brant OPP say police officers conducting speed enforcement spotted a vehicle travelling at 230 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone along Hwy. 403 in Brant County on Oct. 29 just before 7:30 p.m.

The vehicle was pulled over by police.

An 18-year-old Mississauga resident has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, drive motor vehicle at excessive speed/perform stunt, speeding in excess of 50 km/h over the limit, possess more than one licence and fail to surrender insurance card.

They’re scheduled to appear in Brantford court on a date yet to be determined.

The driver had their licence suspended for 30 days and the vehicle was impounded for two weeks.
