Uber Cannabis Survey

It takes less than a short drive through Ontario to discover that this province loves its cannabis, as dispensaries are a common sight in almost every city and town. While the economy surrounding this cash crop has fluctuated over the years, Ontario still sees a massive use of cannabis products each year, so much so that even cannabis delivery has become increasingly commonplace.

A recent survey by Uber — one of Ontario’s primary delivery platforms for cannabis — has discovered which cities across the province love their cannabis the most.

The survey was done in celebration of 4/20, the unofficial holiday of cannabis enthusiasts, which is often celebrated by the mass consumption of cannabis products. Ever since Uber started delivering Cannabis products in 2022, the delivery platform has been able to track the ordering trends of Ontarians, and in turn, find out exactly where demands are (no pun intended) the highest.

According to data from the survey, the Ontario cities that order the most cannabis are:

  • Mississauga
  • Kitchener
  • Milton
  • Kingston
  • Windsor

Narrowing the focus to the GTA, the highest demands come from:

  • Mississauga
  • Milton
  • Oshawa
  • Toronto
  • Burlington

Additional findings also indicated the most popular form of cannabis delivered (pre-rolls) and the largest order placed in Ontario last year — a staggering $422. However, as Mississauga holds the number one spot for cannabis orders in all of Ontario, it can be safe to assume they also hold the number one spot for potato chip orders as well.
