Mississauga Steelheads reel in 67’s for home debut as OHL releases dates for openers

Mississauga Steelheads hockey returns to the Paramount Fine Foods Centre on Friday, Oct. 22nd.

The Ontario Hockey League announced the home openers on Monday for all 20 league teams and the Steelheads will kick off their 2021-22 home schedule against the Ottawa 67’s.

Game time is 7 p.m.

The puck will drop on the OHL’s 680-game regular season schedule on Thursday, Oct. 7 with games in North Bay (vs. Peterborough), Windsor (vs. Sarnia) and Barrie (vs. Niagara).

The OHL was forced to cancel its 2020-21 season because of provincial health restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The OHL will release its entire regular season schedule for the 2021-22 season on Tuesday afternoon.
