The ribs are returning to Mississauga!

The Amacon Mississauga Rotary Ribfest will again be a drive-thru event this year commencing this Friday (May 13) and running throughout the weekend at Erin Mills Town Centre.

All proceeds from the event will go to The Mississauga Food Bank and other Rotary club sponsored charities.

“Ten thousand cars came through the event last year and we were thrilled to serve you,” says ribfest chair Rick Blake. “Rotary would like to offer our gratitude for all your support and we hope to see you again this weekend.”

This year several barbeque vendors will be taking part serving up a variety of rib styles with special sauces and trimmings. Participants include Billy Bones BBQ, Camp 31, Uncle Sam’s and Sticky Fingers.

Also, Tiny Tom Donuts, Ontario Corn Roasters and B&D Fresh Cut Fries will also be part of the food selling team.

Again this year the ribfest will be a drive thru event where patrons will be asked to remain in their cars while volunteer staff take and then serve their orders. It will take place in the upper level parking lot of the mall.  At the entrance customers will be handed a menu and then have an opportunity to order from their ribber of choice. Because of COVID concerns, people will be asked not leave their cars.

Ribfest hours are Friday noon to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

As well, the GO-VAXX bus will also be onsite Friday and Sunday for those looking to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
