A restaurant in Mississauga has been advised to close after a potential COVID-19 exposure, and Peel Public Health is advising anyone who visited it on either of the last two weekends to immediately be tested for the virus.

On Tuesday (Aug. 17), the public health unit said there he had been a possible exposure at &Company Resto Bar at 295 Enfield Place. All patrons and staff — including those who are fully vaccinated — who were at the eatery on either Aug. 6-8 or Aug. 15 should get a COVID-19 test.

More information about booking a test in Mississauga or Brampton is available at peelregion.ca/coronavirus/testing/.

Affected individuals who live outside Peel should contact their local public health unit for details on testing close to home. If symptoms develop, individuals should self-isolate away from others.

The public health unit stated it is “advis(ing) the premise to remain closed until further notice.”

This is the second time in the last four days that Peel Public Health has advised patrons of a Mississauga nightspot to be tested for COVID-19 following a possible exposure.

On Friday, it stated that anyone who visited Her. nightclub (1325 Eglinton Ave. E.) on Aug. 6, 7 or 8 needs to book a test. That nightclub was not told to close.
