Mississauga Resident Takes Home Huge Win in Brand New Lotto Game

A lucky Mississauga resident is celebrating after becoming the third person to take home a top prize with OLG’s new The Big Spin Instant Game (#2040).
OLG recently announced that, in front of his wife and an excited crowd, Joseph (Joe) Buwah of Mississauga took a spin on The Big Spin Wheel at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to win $200,000.
“My regular lottery retailer first told me about the new Instant game,The Big Spin,” said Buwah, who emigrated from Nigeria almost 40 years ago and currently works in the food and beverage industry. “I am so used to winning smaller amounts, like $10 or $20, that when she told me I won a chance to spin The Big Spin Wheel, I was so happy and excited!”
Buwah and his wife, who are parents of a teenaged boy, plan to put aside some of the windfall for their son’s future.
“I originally came to this country because it offered me the chance of a better education. It’s wonderful that now my son’s education will be taken care of,” Buwah told OLG.

A new home and a trip to Nigeria are also in the plans.
“After all these years in Canada, we will finally be able to own our own home but first, we will take a family trip to Nigeria. I haven’t been back in years and it will be great to visit with my family and friends,” he says. “Winning The Big Spin means I can now afford the things I only ever dreamed about.”
The Big Spin Instant game is a new $5 game that combines popular scratch play with prizes revealed in-store by an animated spinning wheel on the lottery terminal screen and potentially, an in-person spin on The Big Spin Wheel at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
The new game has three ways to win:
Scratch – To win an instant cash prize of $5 to $100,000 or a Spin prize.
Watch – If the prize won is Soin, visit any OLG retail location to validate the ticket and watch the animated wheel spin on the lottery terminal screen. Every “Spin” is a guaranteed win! Spin prizes range from $10 to $10,000 or a Big Spin.
SPIN – If the animated wheel stops on “Big Spin,” the prize won is an actual spin on wheel at the OLG Prize Centre for a guaranteed prize of $100,000 to $500,000!
The winning ticket was purchased at Rama Market on Bostock Crescent in Mississauga.
