A peace walk to honour the Afzaal family that was run down and killed in London, Ontario earlier this week will be held in Mississauga on Saturday (June 12).

Presented by the Muslim Council of Peel and the National Council of Canadian Muslims, the walk will commence in Celebration Square on the grounds of city hall beginning at 3 p.m.

Participants are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

The walk is in response to the killings of four members of the Muslim family in what many are calling a hate-filled, terrorist attack when they were run down by a vehicle along a London street. A 9-year-old boy survived the attack. A 20-year-old man has been arrested and is facing charges.
