Mississauga pair pulled over in French River in Sudbury facing drug, weapon charges

Two people from Mississauga are facing numerous drug and weapon charges after being pulled over on a highway in French River near Sudbury.

Officers from the North East Region of the Ontario Provincial Police pulled over a speeding vehicle with two 31-year-old residents from Mississauga.

Upon a search of the vehicle, the OPP say they located a handgun, drugs suspected to be cannabis, credit cards, Canadian currency, and open liquor.

The two occupants of the vehicle were arrested and charged with various weapons and drug related offences.
