Mississauga minor charged for April’s fatal shooting in downtown Niagara Falls

Niagara Police has charged a Mississauga minor for his involvement in the April 8 fatal shooting on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls.
On that night at 12:30 am, a lone gunman shot three men on Clifton Hill near the Great Canadian Midway in the City of Niagara Falls.
One victim died while two were hospitalized afterwards. The two have since recovered. At the time, police were able to get a picture of the escape vehicle involved – a blue Ford F-150 – which was seen heading west on Lundy’s Lane toward Montrose Road.
As it turned out, the truck was stolen.
At the time, the police Forensic Services Unit shut down that portion of Clifton Hill for almost 24 hours.
Today (July 19), a 17 year old male youth from Mississauga was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, robbery, discharging a firearm with intent, reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and theft of a motor vehicle.

He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing today at the courthouse in St. Catharines.
