A Mississauga man is accused of violating his lifetime driving ban after being arrested last Friday, the Peel police say.

The Peel Regional Police says officers from their Road Safety Services Safer Roads Team conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Erin Centre Boulevard and Winston Churchill Boulevard in the City of Mississauga. The investigation revealed that driver was on a lifetime driving prohibition and several provincial driving suspensions.

Ravindran Nadarajah, 62, is charged with operation while prohibited. He will attend a Brampton court at a later date to answer to the charges.

“Great job and just another great example of the excellent proactive work done by the Safer Roads Team as they continue to focus on street racing, prolific offenders, and re-offenders who continue to pose a risk to our community,” Insp. Pete Danos of PRP Road Safety Services said in a press release.

Anyone with information concerning driving offences can contact Peel Regional Police by phoning 905-453-3311. The public can also file a complaint through Road Watch. Anonymous information may also be submitted by phoning Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
