Having played the lottery for about six years, David Darku-Ankrah had only ever won a few dollars here and there.

Things changed recently, though, in that regard for the 71-year-old Mississauga man, who came forward to the OLG with a winning Daily Keno Encore ticket worth $100,000 from the draw last Nov. 5.

Darku-Ankrah, who works as a custodian, matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order to win the cash.

He said it’s difficult to explain the winning feeling.

“I was shocked and in a daze,” the Mississauga man told OLG officials of his initial reaction to winning the large amount.

Darku-Ankrah hasn’t yet decided what he’ll do with the money.

“For now, I’ll use some to pay some bills,” he said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada, on Cawthra Rd. in Mississauga.
