Mississauga man facing sexual assault charge

A Mississauga man is facing charges in connection with an alleged sexual assault incident. 

Niagara Regional Police say that in May of 2019, a woman in her 20s told officers that she was sexually assaulted in Niagara-On-The-Lake.

On Feb. 3, 2021, detectives arrested a male suspect following an “extensive investigation.” 

Police say 30-year-old Mississauga man Sughney Jariwala is facing one charge of sexual assault.

The accused is currently being held in custody pending a video bail hearing on Feb. 3, 2021.
