Mississauga man faces sexual assault charge

A Mississauga man has been arrested and charged in relation to sexual assault that allegedly occurred two weeks ago.

Investigators from the special victims unit of Peel Regional Police also believe there may be additional survivors of sexual violence involving the accused. Their investigation is ongoing.

The Peel police says that on Jan. 11, a woman had hired a driving instructor to assist her with driving lessons. It is alleged that at some point during the lesson, the driving instructor sexually assaulted her inside the vehicle.

Ghassan Alsouki, 49, of Mississauga, faces one count of sexual assault.

None of the allegations have been proven, and his first court date to address the charges will be in Brampton on March 7.
