Mississauga man charged with sexual assault of woman on bus

A 68-year-old Mississauga man has been charged after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted while on a bus in the south end of the city last month.

Peel Regional Police say the incident reportedly took place on Aug. 4 on board a bus in the area of Hurontario St. and Lakeshore Rd.

A 25-year-old woman reported that she was assaulted while on board the vehicle.

Police would not specify if the incident took place on board a MiWay transit bus, GO bus or any other bus that frequents the area.

Vishnu Roche, 68, of Mississauga, was arrested on Wednesday (Sept. 7). He’s charged with sexual assault.

He was held for a bail hearing to take place in Brampton court.
