Mississauga man charged with murder after woman’s body found in parking lot

A 27-year-old Mississauga man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a woman whose body was found in the parking lot of a commercial plaza in the central part of the city.
Peel Regional Police say the woman’s body, which showed “obvious signs of trauma,” was discovered late Wednesday morning in the parking lot outside a commercial strip plaza at Mavis Rd. and Hillcrest Ave., just north of Dundas St. W.
The discovery was reportedly made in the parking lot outside the Mississauga Flea Market.
Police have not yet released the woman’s name as her family has yet to be notified, but they did say she was from Mississauga.
According to police, emergency services received a call at 11:45 a.m. to check on the well-being of a woman in the Mavis Rd. and Hillcrest Ave. area.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide investigators arrested a man late yesterday.
Yinglin Li, 27, of Mississauga, is charged with first-degree murder.
He’s scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in Brampton court today.
Police describe the death as an isolated incident.
