A man accused of spying and recording women who were trying on clothes at an Ontario retail store now faces criminal charges.
Officers were called to the Winners Store at Winston Churchill Boulevard and Dundas Street West in April, following reports that a man was using a cellphone to record women in the fitting room.
According to Halton Regional Police, investigators used a variety of techniques to identify a suspect.
“As the investigation progressed, the suspect was also linked to a similar incident involving an adult female, which also occurred at the same Winners location in November 2024,” according to police.
On May 16, 2026, investigators executed a warrant at a residence in Mississauga. Multiple items of evidentiary value were found, which included cellular phones and a laptop computer.
As a result of the investigation, Dishanth Srideva, 36, of Mississauga, has been charged with two counts of voyeurism.
Srideva was released on an undertaking with a future court date in Milton.
Investigators are continuing their investigation to look for possible links to other cases.
