Mississauga mall assault victims sought, after woman arrested and charged

A Kitchener woman is facing nine counts of assault and mischief, but none of the victims have reported their injuries to the police.
Peel Regional Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying victims after a 42-year-old woman allegedly assaulted numerous people, including an elderly woman and a young child, at Square One mall in Mississauga on Tuesday (Aug. 24).
At around 5:15 p.m., Peel police were called to attend inside the shopping centre located near Hurontario Street and Burnhamthorpe Road West for reports of a woman assaulting several people. Police worked with mall security to take the woman into custody.
The woman faces seven counts of assault as well as one count of assaulting a police officer and one count of mischief over $5,000. She will be appearing in a Brampton court on Wednesday (Aug. 25). Her name was not released.
The investiors, who have reviewed video surveillance of this event, are appealing to community members to come forward with any information or if anyone believes they were assaulted during this incident.
