Mississauga lowers speed limit in front of select schools

Just in time for students returning to the classroom, Mississauga is lowering the speed limit in front of elementary schools.
The posted speed limits in front of the schools will now be 30 km/hr, down from 40 km/hr.
However, for schools located on major roads, the speed limit will remain at 40 km/hr. The City of Mississauga has not been able to clarify what it considers a major road.
The City is also unable to clarify if the reduced speed limit will be in effect in front of Mississauga high schools.
