Mississauga's Orville Tapper won $100,000 in the Aug. 4 Megadice Lotto draw.

Orville Tapper, Mississauga’s latest confirmed big lottery winner, was happy enough to pick up his $100,000 cheque without saying a word.

The Mississauga man hit the $100,000 jackpot in the Aug. 4 Megadice Lotto draw. He bought the lucky ticket at Smit Convenience, on Saint Barbara Blvd. in Mississauga.

OLG officials say Tapper was ecstatic about the win, but added he didn’t want to provide any details about himself, his reaction to learning of his winning ticket or his plans for the money.

They say while most big Ontario lottery winners are happy to say a few words when picking up their winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, others are more private and simply pose for the promotional photo with the big cheque without offering their thoughts.

Megadice Lotto offers both instant in-store wins of up to $7,500 and nightly prize draws of as much as $100,000. Tickets cost $2.
