Mississauga’s Ura Callaghan brought some great news home from work recently.

The retail worker, who’s played the lottery regularly for the past 20 years, learned she was a $100,000 Lotto 6/49 Encore winner when she stopped at the store to check her ticket from the Dec. 5, 2020 draw on her way home from work.

“I saw $100,000 and I was shocked,” Callaghan said recently while collecting her winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I was so excited to go home and show my daughter. She was so excited.

“This is my first big win,” continued Callaghan, whose ticket matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in order. “Lotto 6/49 is my favourite game and I always add Encore.”

Callaghan says she plans to finish renovations to her kitchen and invest with her winnings.
