Mississauga intersection shut down due to live wires, traffic lights on roadway

Police are advising drivers to avoid a Mississauga intersection today (Aug. 9) until further notice.

Roads are currently closed at Hurontario St and Harborn Rd near the QEW after power wires and traffic lights were knocked down onto the roadway.

No injuries have been reported.

The intersection is expected to remain closed for five hours, police said shortly before noon.

Motorists should take alternate routes and avoid the area.
