Sheridan Centre shopping mall in west Mississauga is hosting two COVID-19 vaccination clinics in the coming days for long-term care and retirement home workers.

The clinics, organized by Peel Public Health (PPH), are scheduled for this Sunday (Jan. 23) and Monday (Jan. 24), from 1 to 8 p.m.

Sheridan Centre is located st 2225 Erin Mills Pkwy., at the QEW.

Those interested in getting their shots on either of those days are urged to book an appointment.

PPH officials say hosting such dedicated clinics is important as the Ontario government recently made booster doses mandatory for all workers at long-term care homes.

“The deadline (for boosters) is fast approaching for employees,” PPH said. “Without it, or a valid exemption, they won’t be able to keep doing their jobs.”

PPH officials remind the public that staff, students, volunteers, caregivers and support workers who work in long-term care or retirement homes can walk in to any Peel vaccination clinic to get their booster shots.

They must bring proof of age and employment to the appointment.
