Mississauga hit-and-run sends woman to hospital

Police are searching for a suspect and a woman is in hospital after a hit-and-run crash in Mississauga on Friday morning (Jan. 6).

Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the area of Torbram Rd. and Drew Rd. for reports of a crash just after 7:00 a.m. on Friday.

An adult female pedestrian was hit by a vehicle, and the driver fled the scene, police said.

A spokesperson for Peel Paramedics said the woman was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect vehicle is a dark sedan. No other information about the vehicle or the driver was disclosed by police.

The westbound lanes of Drew Rd. will be closed at Torbram Rd. while police
