Mississauga grandmother plans to relax on the beach after big lottery win

Meher Panthaky is planning to catch a flight and head to a tropical beach for some rest and relaxation.
That’s one of the items on the Mississauga woman’s to-do list after her ticket won a $100,000 Encore prize in the April 15 Lotto 6/49 draw. Her ticket matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order.
Panthaky, a grandmother, says she’s excited about her win and is planning to share some of the money with her family, donate to charities close to her heart and plan a nice trip to relax on the beach.
“The rest will be saved and invested,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.
Panthaky says she signed up for a lottery subscription in 2022 to make sure she never missed a draw.
And that paid off big-time for her on April 15.

“I noticed I had an email from OLG and when I logged into my account, I saw I was a big winner for $100,000,” she recalls. “I ran to tell my husband and told him to come look at my computer. Then he asked if it was real.”
The winning ticket was purchased at OLG.ca.
