A Mississauga man is planning to share the wealth following a big lotto win.

OLG recently announced that saying “yes” to Encore paid off for Charles Duguay. Duguay, 81, matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order in the May 29, 2021 Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000.

Duguay told OLG he is a regular lottery player with Lotto 6/49 being his favourite game.

“I always add Encore,” he said.

The retired grandfather said when he used the ticket checker at the store, he was surprised to see so many zeroes.

“I thought, holy, this is going to be a big prize!”

Duguay told OLG that he shared the good news with his kids, who were very happy for him.

“They told me I worked hard and deserve this.”

He plans to share his windfall with his children.

The winning ticket was purchased at Jac’s Milk Convenience on Dundas Street in Mississauga.
