Mississauga firefighters to give pandemic supplies to residents

Firefighters in Mississauga are bringing both their expertise in fire safety and much-needed COVID-19 pandemic supplies to the community tomorrow (Aug. 25) in Malton.

Their Community Giveaway Event runs from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the parking lot of the residential buildings at 7340/7350 Goreway Dr., at Morning Star Dr.

COVID-19 supplies such as masks and hand sanitizer will be handed out, as will cartons of eggs during a grocery giveaway as Mississauga Fire Services partners with GlobalMedic, Peel Living, Egg Farmers Association and the fire services’ own Emergency Management team to host the event.

Firefighters on hand will also be providing plenty of fire safety and emergency preparedness advice.
