Mississauga crash sends motorcyclist to hospital

A motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Mississauga this evening.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Apr. Peel Regional Police announced the crash on Promontory Cr. and Burnhamthorpe Rd. The area is a residential neighbourhood in the city’s south stone’s throw from Erindale Woods.
The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash. The motorcyclist’s injuries were not life-threatening, but they were severe enough to warrant a trip to a local trauma centre.
Police briefly closed Burnhamthorpe Rd. down to only one lane. However, the route has since reopened.
